You’ll be taught by experienced Instructor Trainers who can mentor you on your education path. Our training has often been called the “Ivy League” of Pilates education. It’s a reputation that we are proud of and a philosophy and method you can build a career on.

Pilates Franklin partners with Inspire Health in Atlanta, GA, a seasoned STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center. Together we are here to support new instructors, current students, and Certified Instructors throughout the phases of a STOTT PILATES® Instructor career. Our experienced and supportive Instructor Trainers and studio staff are here to facilitate an excellent education experience, enabling you to become a pilates professional and part of an elite group of certified fitness professionals.

 Intensive Mat Plus (IMP) September 5-8, September 26-29

Provides you with the solid foundation and skills you need to develop effective and motivating group and personal training programs. At the end of the course you are qualified to design and teach essential and intermediate level matwork classes, integrating small equipment to add variety and to meet the specific needs of your clients. In addition to the general course objectives you learn: * Workout composition for personal and group training * Essential, intermediate and power workouts * Use of the Flex-Band, Fitness Circle and Arc Barrel to enhance, support and intensify strength and flexibility exercises. Prerequisites: Working knowledge of functional anatomy, some pilates training and three-plus years teaching movement or fitness. Duration: 40 hours instruction and supervised teaching, plus minimum 10 hours observation, 30 hours physical review, 15 hours practice teaching. Conducted over two weeks or three weekends. COST: $1150 + Materials

Intensive Reformer (IR) June 20-23, July 5-7, July 12-14

Prepares you to teach a broad range of exercises, variations and modifications performed on the Reformer – the key piece of resistance equipment used in pilates exercise. This course teaches you how to combine Mat- and Reformer-based workouts for increased variety and intensity. Upon completion of this course you are able to further motivate group classes and customize personal training sessions for a range of clients. In addition to the general course objectives you learn: * Effective use of resistance to enhance torso stability and peripheral extremity conditioning * How to develop effective Reformer and combined Mat-and-Reformer programs for personal and group classes * Essential, intermediate and power workouts * Effective communication, visual skills verbal cuing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation Prerequisites: anatomy, pilates training, and 3+ years teaching movement or fitness. Duration: 50 hours instruction and supervised teaching, plus minimum 10 hours observation, 40 hours physical review, 25 hours practice teaching. Conducted over three weeks or four weekends. COURSE COST: $1650 + Materials

Functional Anatomy (FA) August 16-18, August 23-25

This course teaches basic biomechanics (levers, effects of gravitational force, effects of muscle force), anatomical terminology, skeletal anatomy, actions at the joints, major muscle groups and the muscles’ origin insertion and action. Select exercises from the STOTT PILATES® repertoire are also broken down and analyzed in terms of the functional anatomy at play. Participants will deepen their understanding of the body and enhance their teaching.opics covered in this lecture/demonstration class include: Methodologies, Anatomical Position, Skeleton, Bony Prominences, Joint Articulation, Origin, Insertion and Action of Muscles Prerequisites: None Duration: 30 Hours CECs :3.0 STOTT PILATES; ACE; canfitpro COST: $795

Intensive Chair Module (ICHR) TBA

ICHR prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Stability Chair. By the end of this course you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients’ conditioning goals with 63 exercises on the Stability Chair. Beyond the general course objectives, you will learn: Effective use of the equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral extremity conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination. How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment. Effective communication and observational skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation. Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions. Exercise layering related to effective program design. Prerequisites: IMP + IR or GM + XMP + GR + XRP or CMR Duration: 15 hours class instruction and supervised teaching, Minimum 5 hours observation, Minimum 10 hours physical review, Minimum 10 hours practice teaching Total: 40 hours COURSE COST: $550 + Materials

Intensive Barrels Module (IBRL) October 19 & 20

Intensive Barrels – IBRL prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Barrels. By the end of this course you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients’ conditioning goals with 98 exercises on the Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel. Beyond the general course objectives, you will learn: Effective use of equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral extremity training, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment Effective communication and observational skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions Exercise layering related to effective program design Prerequisites IMP + IR or GM + XMP + GR + XRP or CMR Duration: 10 hours of class instruction and supervised teaching, minimum 5 hours observation, minimum 10 hours of physical review, minimum 5 hours of practice teaching. COURSE COST: $375 + Materials

Intensive Cadillac Module (ICAD) TBA

ICAD prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Cadillac. By the end of this course you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients’ conditioning goals with 125 exercises on the Cadillac Trapeze Table. Beyond the general course objectives, you will learn: Effective use of the equipment to enhance torso stability and strength, peripheral extremity conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination. How to develop dynamic programs in a full studio environment. Essential and Intermediate exercises and variations. Effective communication and observational skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation. Modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions. Exercise layering related to effective program design. Prerequisites: IMP + IR or GM + XMP + GR + XRP Duration: 25 hours class instruction and supervised teaching. Minimum 10 hours observation. Minimum 15 hours physical review. Minimum 10 hours practice teaching Total: 60 hours COURSE COST: $900 + Materials
